Power video podcasts with Cal.com

It all starts with Cal Video

If you are a Cal.com user, you've probably noticed that one of the virtual meeting locations we provide our clients is called Cal Video. This app is our in-house video conferencing platform powered by Daily.co. Using Cal Video is an easy way to connect with people, share information, and co-work at a distance. In fact, a majority of our users choose Cal Video as their default meeting location.

People love to use Cal Video because it's lightweight, customizable, and integrates perfectly with Cal.com's infrastructure.

This means that whenever you cancel or reschedule a meeting with Cal Video set as the location, your video conferencing URL is also automatically updated. This helps to eliminate extra steps as well as back and forth that typically arise when working within a hybrid environment. In addition, since Cal Video is powered by Daily.co, it can handle group calls with up to 300 participants.

Organizing Your Podcast

Cal Video is excellent for hosting and recording video podcasts. It allows you to connect with team members, collaborators, and guests seamlessly. You can organize video podcasts one-on-one with single individuals or host more extensive group sessions around essential topics within your industry. Recording and shooting a video podcast with Cal Video is as easy as setting up a regular meeting. All you have to do is create a new bookable event with the title of your podcast, select Cal Video as the location, and then share the link with the relevant parties. When the time comes to shoot an episode, it's simply a matter of logging into your meeting and hitting the record button on the lower right-hand corner of your screen. Once the meeting's over, all you have to do is stop recording, exit the session, and download your video.

How to Access Your Recording

  • Log into your Cal.com account

  • Choose the “Bookings” tab on your dashboard

  • Select the button labeled "Past"

  • Scroll to the relevant meeting

  • Select the button labeled “View Recordings"

  • Next, click on the black and white “download button”

As a tool, Cal Video simplifies the process of recording a video podcast. It integrates directly with our infrastructure and platform, allowing users to take advantage of other time-saving features like our routing forms and automated reminders.
