Get StartedToday, we're going to take a moment to talk about a feature that's exclusive to Cal.com's team, organization, and enterprise subscribers. This feature is called routing forms. This is a simple name for an efficient solution to a complex problem: How do you help someone get from point A to point B when they don't necessarily know who or what point B is? This is something that can be challenging, especially in our increasingly digital and global world. However, Cal.com's routing forms solve this issue, at least when it comes to appointment management.
A routing form is a series of questions that, when answered by a potential booker, allow Cal.com to match the person to the correct party and appointment type. For example a person might need legal advice about real estate. After searching on Google, they find the website of a local law firm with a good reputation. Here’s the problem, the booker isn’t sure whom they should book an appointment with. The routing form solves this issue by asking key screening questions that help to ensure that the booker is matched up with both the correct legal professional and exact appointment type that matches their issue.
One of the key benefits of routing forms is that they're great for gaining data-based insights. All the data collected via the routing forms can be downloaded as a CSV and then uploaded into a data visualization program of your choice. This makes it easy to get a bird's-eye view of how the routing form is performing and impacting your clients. The CSV will include all of the responses from potential bookers so that you have a better idea of how to fine-tune screening questions for maximum impact and efficiency.
We know that you might want to test your routing form before launching it. That's why all routing forms have a draft mode. This feature lets account holders see what the routing form will look like when live without having to submit any additional data or release the form to the public.
Routing forms also come with built-in support for automation. This means that routing form owners will receive an email whenever a meeting request has been submitted through the form. This is an essential feature that helps to ensure that all parties are on the same page and it’s invaluable when working in a large or distributed workforce.
